So what if you cannot get one of the P90X chin up bars, or what if you can't even do a chin up? There is a simple solution to your problem. The Chin Up bars are very sturdy and with a few screws can be placed above almost any doorway. There is a warning that if your doorway has weak frames, then they suggest you find a different door. The Chin Up Bar comes with 2 brackets and 8 screws (4 screws for each bracket). The bracket is placed right above the doorway on top of the trim or frame, but if the trim is very weak or you don't feel comfortable with placing the Chin Up bar on it, then you have to find another way of doing pull ups. The Chin Up Bar itself isn't fully supported by the trim or doorway frame, but it helps to have a strong doorway. The P90X workout routine requires the use of a chin up bar or something similar to get the full workout.

The great thing about P90X is that they show you many ways of doing each workout. So if you don't have a chin up bar or cannot place one in your home then you can always get the resistance bands. How do you do a chin up with resistance bands? Simple, you place an I-Hook in your ceiling, buy the Exercise Bands Upgrade Kit and any of the P90X exercise bands and you are set. You connect the upgrade kit to the I-Hook and connect the exercise band to the kit and you are set for doing pull ups with a resistance band. It might be confusing at first but once you watch the videos you will see how it is done. The great thing with the P90X workout is that they will show you how to do each workout, so that anyone can workout the P90X way.
