Insanity Workout – Interval Training

Shaun T’s Insanity workout has finally been out for over a year now, a year is plenty enough time to weigh this workout product. Is it everything it is cracked out to be? Is it really insane? The answer is a big YES. There are not many workouts out there that can compete with P90x in the effectiveness of the workout, but Shaun T’s Insanity Workout has definitely done just that. The Insanity Workout has not been disappointing at all, the results people have gotten from this workout has been pretty amazing, and just in 60 days. Why Cardiovascular Exercises Are Good For You

Everyone is interested in keeping fit and staying healthy. Doing workouts will help you get those lean hard muscled that you desire. But aerobic exercises are also beneficial to your health program. Simply taking a walk three times a week will provide you with a healthier system.

Cardiovascular (aerobic) exercises like walking, jogging or swimming are good ways of getting rid of fat. By increasing your heart rate your body will burn more fat, reducing the amount of calories that you have stored in your system. But cardiovascular exercises do not only burn fat, they also have other healthy benefits.

Cardiovascular exercises strengthen the muscles used during respiration. Your lungs become more efficient providing you with better lung capacity and use. People who jog, swim or take brisk walks regularly do not get winded as easily as other people. This is because of their improved lung capacity.

A Cardio exercise also improves your heart. It enlarges the heart muscle and reduces the heart resting rate. Your heart will work more efficiently and age even better. Aerobic exercises tone your various muscle groups. People, who walk or jog regularly, have toned legs and an overall lean look.

Because your peak heart rate is maintained for longer periods than you would during other forms of exercise (i.e. resistant training) you tend to burn more calories during cardio work outs. The increased activity in your body encourages the production of red blood cells and an enhanced circulation system

Finally for fighting those bouts of stress, there is nothing more healing than a quick run or work. Aerobics exercises cause the formation of feel good hormones which will lift your mood. Regular cardiovascular exercise reduces your risk of developing hypertension or heart related ailments. Aerobic exercises also reduce the risk of developing Osteoarthritis as you get older.

It is important that you monitor your heart rate during a cardiovascular exercise. Exercising too low will not get your body burning fat efficiently. Even more dangerously is exercising too intensely. Tasking your heart will have more negative effects than a good one. Get a heart rate monitor. Using a Heart rate monitor will ensure that you get optimal results out of your exercise plan.

So the next time you feel you have nothing to do. Why don’t you just take a walk? You might think you are doing nothing. But to your body? It is everything.

Does the Insanity Workout Work?

Insanity WorkoutIf you’ve asked the question, “Does The Insanity Workout Work?” you might get many different answers.  The real question you should be asking yourself is, “Will I see results from the Insanity Workout?”  The answer is YES!  If your “idea” of the Insanity workout actually working is getting totally ripped, then you might have false expectations, because it depends on who you are.  If you are someone who only has 10 pounds to lose before you are ripped, then you will probably see ripped results, but if you are someone who has 20 to 30 pounds to lose, then you probably will not see 6-pack abs after the 60 days is over, but you will still see incredible results.

The Insanity workout is designed to work.  Interval training has been around for years, and professional athletes and personal trainers have adopted interval training into all their workout routines.  Your success with the Insanity workout depends solely on YOU!  If you push yourself and do not slack with your workouts than there is no reason why you should not see results.  It does not mean that you have to keep up with the people on the workout, but it does mean that you have to challenge yourself physically and mentally.

How Can You Achieve Maximum Results?

Well, I have done it!  Here is my experience with the Insanity Workout.

When I started the Insanity workout I was 208 pounds, I wanted to make sure that I lost some weight and built some muscle.  I followed the nutrition plan pretty well, it was not exact, but it was close enough.  In the first couple weeks I lost 6 pounds, putting my weight down to 202 pounds, which was great!  The next couple weeks I continued to lose weight, dropping below 200 pounds to 199 lbs.!!

The Insanity workout was a struggle for me at first.  The first workout I did “The Fit Test”  I threw up!  I have not thrown up in a workout in a long time, so it was surprising to me, fortunately I made it to the bathroom.  The first week was hard, my body was so sore.  But after getting some good sleep and after my body adjusted to the shock of interval training the soreness went away.

I only did the first month of the workout, because I got pretty sick with the swine flu in the middle of the program.  But I experienced some great results even in the first month.  I included some pictures to show you the difference in just 2 weeks.  I am not sucking in!!  I fully believe in the Insanity Workout.

The Exciting Life Of Shaun T

Shaun T has definitely lived an exciting life, but when you have a nickname like “Shaun T” you are bound to live a life of excitement.  Shaun T’s real name is Shaun Thompson.  He was raised in New Jersey, and it was in New Jersey that he attended Rowan University and received his BS degree in Sports Science and minored in Theater and Dance.  Shaun now currently lives in New York City.

ShaunTShaun has put both of his degrees to good use, he’s not only come out with some great workout routines on DVD, but he has also danced in theater and television.  Shaun has worked with some pretty big names.  Some of his accomplishments have been with Val Kilmer in the musical version of The Ten Commandments, and he has also worked in musicals such as “Pippin” and “Applause.”  Shaun T has also had some small appearances in television; he appeared in Six Feet Under on HBO, the BBC America Channel, and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Shaun also dabbed his feet in the movie business with an appearance in “Beauty Shop” starring Queen Latifah.  Shaun has worked with Nike, Boost athletic shoes, Radio Shack, and the LA Lakers.  He also worked with Mariah Carey, Aaron Carter, Nick Carter, and Elephant Man.

But the excitement does not stop there! Shaun has always had a talent for choreographing dances.  He’s done choreographing for Aaron and Nick Carter, the Garden State Dance Festival, and for the NCAA Final Four Halftime Show.  Shaun helped Tony Gonzalez choreograph cheer leading moves for the movie Bring it on: All or Nothing, starring Hayden Panettiere and Solange Knowles.

After having much success in his life, Shaun T was contacted by Beachbody to do some Workout DVDs.  They decided to take Shaun’s expertise in dancing and turned it into a workout routine called Hip Hop Abs.  Shaun created Hip Hop Abs in February 2007 and it quickly became America’s #1 fitness program on television.  Hip Hop Abs swept the nation and helped many people shed fat and build strong abs.  But Hip Hop Abs was just the beginning…In 2008 Shaun T saw a need to help kids and preteens get into shape to fight childhood obesity.  He created two new workouts called Shaun T’s Fit Club (for ages 7+) and Get Real With Shaun T (for preteens).  2008 was a busy year for Shaun because he also released his next big hit called  Rockin’ Body, it involved new dance moves and more calorie burning workouts to popular music.  Shaun T’s biggest workout release came out in July of 2009, that is when INSANITY hit the market.  Insanity is a 60-day workout challenge that involves no dancing, but does involve max interval training.  This is the most challenging workout Shaun T has come out with, and one of the most difficult but effective workouts on the market today.

Now Shaun T can be found still helping people stay fit, as he represents many fitness conventions around the world.

Insanity Workout Oatmeal

3670446864_fedbd1435bThis is just not any type of oatmeal, this is oatmeal has protein powder.  This is like the oatmeal that Superman would eat in the morning.  Oatmeal is great to have in the morning because it gives you lasting energy throughout your day.  Oatmeal is also great for reducing your cholesterol levels because of all the soluble fiber in eat.  What makes this oatmeal even better is adding berries.  Blueberries, Raspberries, and Strawberries provide extra health benefits, plus it give the oatmeal some tasty flavor.  Make sure you get plain quick oatmeal, the packets usually have added sugar.

Here’s the Insanity Workout oatmeal Recipe:

2/3 cup cooked oatmeal, prepared with water

1 scoop of protein powder

1/2 cup of fresh or frozen berries

1-1/2 tbsp. chopped walnuts (optional)

Splash (1/4) of skim, almond, rice, or soy milk

Nutrition value:

307 calories

26 grams protein

34 grams carbohydrates

9 grams fat

9 grams fiber

This is a great way to start off your morning! It is quick and easy to make and the health benefits are off the charts.  We hope you enjoy your Insanity workout.
